- I used black candy melt (or compound chocolate) + black oil base food coloring to get the darker color.

- Make sure you chocolate is not too thin or too thick. Too thin, the chocolate might break when you take it out of the mold. Too thick, it might be hard to cover the mold and will have less room for the cake.

- Once you put the chocolate in the mold, put it in the freezer for a few minutes, so it sets faster. Do the same thing when you put the chocolate covering on the cake.

- In the video, I used the cake taster to make a hole for the stick. But you can use whatever you have.

Update: the cracked cake pops are looking much better today! 🥳. Leaving them at room temp made the cracks close up. I always recommend storing cake pops at room temp in a covered container up to a week. Then you can refrigerate and/or freeze them a few more weeks.
